Location. Located on the western coast of Rarotonga in the Cook Islands, Aroa Beachside Inn offers its guests unobstructed sunset views across the ocean. The hotel is set directly on the beach, and is approximately 15 kilometers (nine miles) from the airport and Avarua town.
Hotel Features. The hotels beach location means that guests need only walk a few meters to participate in reef snorkeling, ocean swimming and kayaking or just to relax in the sun on the sand. At the Shipwreck Hut beach bar and restaurant tropical drinks and cocktails are served, and evening entertainment and barbecues are offered twice a week. Aroa Beachside Inn can also provide leisure equipment for activities such as boules, badminton and a variety of board games. A book swap library is on site. Wireless Internet access is available. The daily tropical breakfast is complimentary.
Guestrooms. Guestrooms are located in single or double story villas or studios, each with a private deck, ceiling fans and good ventilation. Well equipped kitchens contain a refrigerator with freezer compartment, microwave oven, stove top, toaster, cutlery and crockery, etc. Guests also have the use of a barbecue facility. Room amenities include televisions, IDD telephones, in room safes, CD players and wireless Internet access. In the bathrooms, guests will find large showers, beach towels and hair dryers. Expert Tip. Visitors may enjoy exploring the back roads, either on foot or by rented bicycle or motor scooter, where they can see a variety of beautiful tropical trees, some of which are very old. Particularly big, old trees can be found along the Great Road of Toi (Ara Metua), built in about 1,000 AD from coral slabs.
