Location. The Hotel Ipanema is located in Taormina, Italy, in the bay of Mazzaro. It is 200 metres from the cable car to Taormina town centre and 200 metres from Isola Bella.

Expert Tip. The most remarkable monument in Taormina is the ancient Greek theatre, which is remarkably well preserved. Although most of the original seats have disappeared, it is frequently used for theatre and opera performances.

Distance to Hotel Ipanema is 45 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes drive.
Getting there. The SAIS bus runs to Taormina and stops at Piazzale della Funivia, outside the Hotel Ipanema. Tickets are available from a booth in front of the terminal building, and must be validated when boarding. Taxis cost around 100 EUR to the hotel. The hotel offers airport transfer at a surcharge. The price is subject to change.
Getting around. An inexpensive rail network links Sicilys larger towns, including Palermo, Messina, Catania, Taormina, and Syracuse. Buses run throughout the towns and many of the smaller villages. A car is recommended for exploring the less touristy areas.
