Location. The Sonnenhotel Kammweg is located in the village of Neustadt am Rennsteig, in the Thuringer Forest, Germany. The city of Erfurt is 60 kilometres away. The Rennsteig walking track runs through the hotel grounds.
Hotel Features. Set in an alpine meadow covered with wild flowers in summer and snow in winter, the Sonnenhotel Kammweg is ideal for walkers, skiers and outdoor enthusiasts. There is a ski lift 500 metres from the hotel and walking tracks run directly through the grounds.

Getting there. It would be difficult to access the hotel by public transport. A car is recommended for making this journey. However, it is possible to take the train to Ilmnenau, which is 15 kilometres away from the hotel.
Getting around. It is possible to base yourself at the hotel and enjoy walking, skiing or cycling tours direct from the door, but a car is recommended for exploring further afield.
