Location. The Old Captain Hotel is located in Marupe, Latvia, on the outskirts of Riga, three kilometres from the airport and seven kilometres from the sights of the old town centre of Riga. The seafront is 15 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. The Old Captain Hotel is a complex of 19 two storey pale yellow villas with green roofs in manicured grounds. Two halls exhibit rare antique cars. There is wireless Internet throughout. Each villa has individual private garage parking with remote control.

Villas are self catering with personal cookers available. The Old Captain restaurant serves European dishes and a wide selection of premium brand drinks. A continental breakfast is complimentary. The half board rate includes either lunch or dinner.

Guestrooms. The 19 villas at the Old Captain Hotel are decorated in a 19th century style with rock crystal lighting and individual climate control. Each has three separate bedrooms, with satellite television, DVD, wireless Internet, built in wardrobe and direct dial phone. There are three toilets, one combined with bidet and hydrojet tub, another with steam room and shower. The guest hall has an open fireplace and leather sofas clustered around a satellite television with DVD and karaoke. There is a fully equipped kitchen with dining table, refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine, and microwave, and barbecues can be enjoyed on an outdoor terrace. The hotel offers a half board rate.

Expert Tip. Riga Castle is on the banks of the Daugava river and was founded in 1330 on the spot where the first fortifications of Riga stood. It is now the residence of the President of Latvia and houses the Museum of Latvian History and the Museum of Foreign Art.

Distance to Old Captain Hotel is three kilometres, approximately two minutes drive.

Getting there. A complimentary airport transfer can be arranged with the hotel. Taxis wait outside arrivals and cost around 8 LVL 10 LVL to central Riga and 10 LVL to the hotel. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Marupe is compact and easy to explore on foot. Buses run to Riga and the hotel can arrange transport to a variety of locations. Central Riga and the old town are best explored by foot. Rigas efficient public transport network includes buses, trams, and trolleybuses. Night services are provided on some routes. Separate tickets are required for the different modes of transport. Trains run from Riga central station to destinations across the country.

Driving directions. From Riga Airport, follow the main road into the city.
At the first traffic lights after about 500 metres, turn right and then immediately turn left.
Continue for 500 metres until reaching a T junction with a sign for the Old Captain.
Turn right off the main road, and after 200 metres the Old Captain Hotel is found on the left.
