Hotel Features. Originally built as a private Mediterranean style residence, La Mansion Inn offers the intimacy of a boutique property. The inns designers engaged ecologically sound practices, and the property is heated by solar energy. The interior displays numerous original paintings crafted by some of Costa Ricas top artists. Dining includes the Jacques Cousteau Dining Room that, in honor of its namesake, boasts an expansive aquarium and is decorated in tones of ocean blue. The kitchen specializes in fresh seafood dishes and steaks. Seating is offered indoors or adjacent to the outdoor herb garden. A barbecue grill is located on the patio. Recreational amenities include an outdoor infinity pool and a spa tub. The hotel offers concierge assistance, room service and in room spa services. Expert Tip. The inns underground Bat Cave Bar was carved from natural rock formations. The splash of an interior waterfall serves as a backdrop to the bars specialty cocktails. This rock hewn bar and lounge is the only one of its kind in Costa Rica.
