Driving Directions:
From Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP):
Distance to Hotel Colonne is 47 kilometres, approximately 45 minutes drive.

Getting there. Taxis to central Milan cost about 65 75 EUR. The Malpensa Express train runs every 30 minutes between the airports train station and the city centre (Cadorna station). Single tickets are approximately 9 EUR, and journey time is 40 minutes. The Malpensa shuttle bus runs to Stazione Centrale (central station) every 20 minutes. The fare is 4.50 EUR and journey time is 20 minutes. Trains run from Milan station to Varese, from where a bus or taxi goes to Sacro Monte.

Getting around. Varese train station is four kilometres away, providing access throughout the region. Scooters are available for hire for closer excursions. Cars are recommended for wider exploration of the area.

Driving directions. From Milan Malpensa, take the A8.
Leave the A8 at the Varese exit and follow signs first to Varese, and then to Sacro Monte.
