Location. The Kolbe Hotel Rome is housed in a former convent, situated next to the Forum in Rome, Italy, within one kilometre of the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain, and 3.5 kilometres from the Vatican. It is 600 metres from the Colosseo metro station.
Hotel Features. This historic building extends to a pretty garden with palms and orange trees, and inside, is air conditioned throughout. Multilingual staff man the 24 hour front desk and can assist with currency exchange, laundry facilities, and room service during limited hours. Kolbe Hotels restaurant opens onto a garden terrace, where guests can enjoy al fresco dining. Regional and international dishes are served. A complimentary buffet breakfast is provided daily.

From Rome Fiumicino Airport(FCO):
Distance to Kolbe Hotel Rome is 29 kilometres, approximately 45 minutes drive.

Getting there. The Leonardo Express train runs between Fiumicino Airport and the Termini train station in the city centre every 30 minutes. The journey time is about 35 minutes and single tickets cost 9.50 EUR. The Terravision shuttle bus also runs between Fiumicino and Termini station. From Termini take the metro line B and get off at Colosseo, which is 600 metres from the hotel. A taxi directly to the hotel will cost about 60 EUR, and taking a metered licensed taxi is advised. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Romes historic city centre is easy to explore on foot, as many attractions are located close together. The city has an efficient public transport system, including trams, buses, suburban trains, and metro (underground). Tickets can be purchased from tobacconists and ATAC ticket machines, and should be bought prior to boarding. Single tickets cost 1 EUR, and are valid for 75 minutes, covering one metro trip and unlimited bus travel. Driving in the city centre is not advised for visitors.
