Getting there. There are two passenger railway stations at Frankfurt airport: the Fernbahnof (long distance) station and the Regional train station. Both can be accessed by a Sky Line monorail or a shuttle bus. Lines S8 and S9 of the S Bahn go to the Hauptbahnhof (central station) and the city centre. Regular buses to the city centre depart from Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 (level 2). Taxis to the city centre cost about 20 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Frankfurts public transport system includes the S Bahn (over ground), the U Bahn (underground), and buses and trams. Tickets are available at most stops for daily or hourly use. Driving directions. From the airport, follow the A648 for 3 kilometres.
At the junction for Frankfurt/Rebstock, turn towards F Stadtmitte/Universitat/Messe.
Follow the road towards Theodor Heuss Allee (B44/48).
Pass the roundabout Friedrich Ebert Anlage.
Turn left into the Mainzer Landstrasse after 300 metres and follow signs for Hauptwache.
At the first set of traffic lights, turn left onto Neue Mainzer Strasse.
At the second large crossing (Eschenheimer Turm/Eschenheimre Tor) turn left.
