Getting there. Taxis to central Milan cost about 65 75 EUR. The Malpensa Express train runs every 30 minutes between the airports train station and the city centre (Cadorna station). Single tickets are approximately 9 EUR, and journey time is 40 minutes. The Malpensa shuttle bus runs to Stazione Centrale (central station) every 20 minutes. The fare is 4.50 EUR and journey time is 20 minutes. The metro runs to Montenapoleone metro station, 150 metres from the hotel. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The city centre is easy to explore on foot, and there are pedestrianised areas around the Duomo. A comprehensive network of trams, buses and four metro lines offers efficient travel throughout the city. Integrated tickets for all modes of public transport can be purchased at newsagents, metro stations, tobacconists, and most coffee bars. Driving is not recommended in Milans city centre. There are many one way streets, traffic is heavy, and parking is limited. Cars parked illegally are towed or fined.
