Location. The Tria Hotel Istanbul is located in Istanbul, Turkey, within 200 metres of Topkapi Palace, and Sultan Ahmed Mosque, and 750 metres from the Grand Bazaar. Sirkeci metro station is 750 metres away.

Guestrooms. The 20 air conditioned guestrooms are spread out on four floors, and feature separate seating areas. All have parquet flooring, and cotton and satin blend linen. Amenities include satellite television, direct dial multi line phones, and complimentary wireless Internet access. Further amenities include coffee/tea makers, refrigerators, desks, minibars, and slippers. Bathrooms have telephones, bathrobes, designer toiletries, and hair dryers.

Expert Tip. The Sultan Ahmed Mosque is a historical Ottoman mosque, and one of several mosques known as the Blue Mosque for its blue tiled interior walls. Built between 1609 and 1616, during the rule of Ahmed I, it is the last great mosque of the classical period. It also comprises a tomb of the founder, a school, and hospice.

Distance to Tria Hotel Istanbul is 17 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes drive.

Getting there. Both airport terminals are connected to the metro system, which runs to the city centre. Single tickets cost about 1 TRY. Alight at Zeytinburnu Station, and take the tram to Sultan Ahmed Station. The hotel is a seven minute walk from there. Taxis wait outside Arrivals; fixed prices are in place and the fare to the Tria Hotel should be about 20 TRY. At night, there is a 50 percent surcharge. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Istanbuls extensive public transport system includes buses, metros (underground trains), trains, trams, sea buses, and ferries. Tickets can be purchased from main stops, stations, or kiosks prior to boarding. Istanbuls yellow taxis are reasonably priced, but travellers should ensure the meter is used. A cheaper alternative is to use a dolmus (minibus or shared taxi). Driving is not advised for visitors.
