Location. A Suzhou, China, hotel, Hotel One Suzhou is in the citys New District economic development area, three kilometers from Han Shan Temple and from Maple Bridge; a stone structure built during the Tang Dynasty.
Hotel Features. Hotel One Suzhous lobby features stone floors, recessed lighting and oval chandeliers emitting red light. An ultra modern theme of vibrant colors and a variety of innovative lighting techniques continues throughout the hotels public areas. The Lobby Lounge serves coffees and pastries from mid morning to early evening, then transforms into a bar with a DJ at night. IN Restaurant serves fusion cuisine from an open kitchen, and is open during breakfast, lunch, and dinner hours. Dishes are a blend of Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Western, and Indian cuisine. Recreational amenities include a spa, a spa tub and an indoor pool with wave lounge chairs, a 24 hour fitness center, and a 24 hour business center with complimentary wireless Internet access. The hotel also includes four rooms equipped for business or social functions.
Guestrooms. All 139 guestrooms in the four story hotel contain wrap around multi function work stations that include 37 inch LCD monitors with surround sound which can be plugged into laptops, complimentary wireless Internet access, mobile telephones, iPod docking stations, laser printers, and ergonomic chairs. Additional amenities include cable television, CD and DVD players and VCRs. Minibars and complimentary bottled water are included. Room d�cor features all white bedding, muted color schemes, and floor to ceiling windows.
Expert Tip. Suzhou is noted for the number and variety of its gardens. The Master of Nets Garden, nine kilometers from the hotel, is the smallest. Designed as a maze with screens and separated sections to create the illusion of space, the garden includes a pool, stone bridges, rock gardens, stands of bamboo and courtyards. Admission is RMB80 (US$11).
