Location. The Steenberg Hotel and wine farm is located in the countryside outside of Cape Town, South Africa, eight kilometres from Muizenberg beach and 22 kilometres from Cape Town city centre.
Hotel Features. Situated at the foot of the Stone Mountains and surrounded by vineyards, this hotel is housed in across three 17th century farm buildings: the Manor House, Jonkershuis and the Barn. The Steenberg Hotel boasts a collection of fine art and antiques, and the surrounding grounds feature sculptures by Edoardo Villa. From Cape Town International Airport (CPT):
Distance to Steenberg Hotel is 30 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes drive.

Getting there. Taxis are available from the airports authorised taxi company, Touch Down. Travellers are advised not to use unauthorised taxis. A typical fare to the Steenberg Hotel is approximately 350 400 ZAR. Door to door shuttle buses are available, and can be pre booked at arrivals. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Trains and buses run throughout Cape Town, but driving is the best way to get around. Many attractions are clearly signposted, however, parking can be difficult. Taxis are available but can be expensive. The best way to explore the area around the hotel is by car.

Driving directions. Depart Cape Town International Airport.
Follow the N2 towards the city.
Take the M3 towards Muizenberg.
Turn left and follow the M3 southbound towards Muizenberg, past the University of Cape Town.
Continue along the M3 to the traffic lights at the off ramp. Keep in the right hand lane.
Turn right onto the M42 (Steenberg Road), following signs for Ou Kaapse Weg. Continue along the M42 through two sets of traffic lights.
Continue past the Barnyard Farm stall on the left.
Steenberg Hotel is 300 metres further, on the left hand side.
