Location. Hotel Akropolis is located in the old city of Taranto, Italy, within 500 metres of the bustling new town and seafront promenade. Taranto Centrale train station is 900 metres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Hotel Akropolis is housed in a grand Medieval building which retains much of its original masonry and historical charm without sacrificing comfort and warmth. In the summer months, guests can take in panoramic views of the Gulf of Taranto whilst enjoying cocktails on the roof terrace. Distance to Hotel Akropolis is 72 kilometres, approximately 45 minutes drive.
Getting there. A public shuttle bus runs between the airport and Bari Brindisi train station. Single tickets cost 5 EUR. From there, trains run to Taranto Centrale station, 900 metres from the hotel.
Getting around. A hire car is recommended for exploring Taranto, although it does have a bus service. You can buy your bus tickets at the tobacco shops marked with a big blue T. You must validate your ticket when you board the bus.
