Location. The Steigenberger Al Dau Beach Hotel is located on the shores of the Red Sea in Hurghada, Egypt, within five kilometres of the city centre.
Hotel Features. Steigenberger Al Dau Beach Hotel is set on a 400 metre private beach. The resort is built in Swahili style and is interspersed by palm tree groves. A 5,000 square metre pool lies in front of the hotel, and features a hot tub island and a lazy river system. The Algotherm Red Sea Thalasso and Spa offers 10 treatment rooms, saunas, a Turkish bath, and massage and beauty treatments.

There are eight bars and restaurants at Steigenberger Beach Hotel. The hotel serves a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner daily in the main restaurant, Tamarind. Tango Beach Restaurant and Bar and Bwala Pool Restaurant and Bar open for lunch and snacks.

Getting there. The hotel provides a shuttle (surcharge) from Hurghanda Airport. Taxis are available in front of the airport and cost approximately 50 EGP directly to Steigenberger Al Dau Beach Hotel. Customers are advised to agree a price before leaving.

Getting around. The best way of getting around Hurghanda is by mini bus. The price depends on whether you are a tourist or a resident, and this is usually determined on ability to speak Arabic. Fare is typically 1 EGP per person. Many mini buses will transform into special taxis for groups of tourists. Be prepared to pay 5 EGP per person if taking the taxi by yourself or going somewhere off the regular route. A price should be agreed in advance of the journey.
