Location. The Copper Beech Inn is nestled in the Connecticut River Valley in Ivoryton, Conn. The Ivoryton Playhouse features Broadway musicals less than two miles away. Hammonasset Beach State Park offers two miles of beaches and a boardwalk less than 13 miles away.
Features. Built in 1880, this country inn features blooming English gardens and a fountain. Complimentary full breakfasts prepared by an executive chef are served each morning in the Copper Beech Room or in the Atrium overlooking the gardens and fountain. Breakfasts feature croissants, Belgian waffles, Eggs Benedict and specialty omelets. Three course dinners are available in the on site restaurant, featuring an extensive wine list. Guestrooms. The Copper Beech Inn offers four accommodations in the main house and nine in the Carriage House. All rooms are equipped with cable television, and DVD and CD players. Expert Tip. The Copper Beech Inn was built by the son of the Samuel Comstock, founder of the S.M. Comstock Company. The company was a chief importer of ivory and manufacturer of piano keys, and it is from this business that Ivoryton got its name.
