From Pisa International Galileo Galilei Airport (PSA):
Distance to Villa La Palagina is 30 kilometres, approximately 40 minutes drive.
Getting there. A direct train service runs from Pisa Airport to Florence. Single tickets cost approximately 5 EUR. Buses run from outside arrivals to central Pisa, Livorno, Lucca, and Pietrasanta. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Much of the local area can be explored by bicycle, but a car is useful for travelling further afield.
Driving directions. From the airport, follow the green signs to the A1 motorway.
Continue towards Rome and take the first exit after Firenze Sud, signposted Incisa Valdarno.
Continue straight on, passing through three sets of traffic lights, until reaching the town of Figline Valdarno.
Before reaching the fourth traffic light, bear right, passing Hotel Torricelli.
After 200 metres, turn right into Strada del Vino Chianti (SP16), heading towards Greve in Chianti.
Continue straight on for 4 5 kilometres.
Follow signs for Villa la Palagina, turning right and then left.
Continue for two kilometres until reaching the villa.
