Getting there. TUT and SNT buses run between the airport and central Tunis every 15 30 minutes. Single tickets cost 1 TND. Taxis to the city centre cost around 5 TND 7 TND, but prices double after 9 p.m. From the bus station in Tunis, buses depart hourly for Hammamet. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The best way around Hammamet is in the yellow taxis, which are relatively inexpensive and convenient. Ensure the counter is on or a price is fixed prior to departing. A mini train runs from South of Hammamet to the city centre for approximately 2.5 TND. A national bus company connects Hammamet with the rest of the country. Shared taxis are inexpensive, and popular for long distance journeys. A car is recommended for exploring the countryside.
