Getting there. The number 457 city bus departs every 20 minutes to central Catania. Tickets are available from a booth in front of the terminal building, and must be validated when boarding. From Catania city centre buses and trains run to Modica. Taxis from the airport cost around 25 EUR to Catania. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Modicas historic town centre can be explored by foot or by bicycle. An inexpensive rail network links Sicilys larger towns. Buses run throughout the towns and many of the smaller villages. A car is recommended for exploring the less touristy areas.
