Driving Directions:
Getting there. The city centre is a 15 minute taxi journey from the airport costing 15 16 EUR. An airport bus leaves every 30 minutes and transports passengers to Santa Maria Novella Station, in the centre of Florence. A single ticket is 6 EUR. The Terravision coach also runs to the city centre and Pisa Airport. A ticket cost 12 EUR and includes a one day travel card on all Florence city buses. The centre of Florence is compact and best explored on foot. Traffic is restricted in the city centre and parking can be expensive. Bright orange buses service the city centre; tickets can be bought at tobacconists or vending machines. Tickets are sold on a time basis one hour, two hour or 24 hour tickets. Taxis are available outside Santa Maria Novella Station. All prices subject to change.
