Location. Housed in a group of 19th century stone buildings, the Scots Hotel is set on the shores of the Sea of Galilee just north of Tiberias, overlooking the Golan Heights. Tel Aviv Airport (TLV) is 100 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. Originally a 19th century hospital, the buildings of the Scots Hotel also served as a guesthouse for pilgrims before opening as a hotel in 1999. Guests can enjoy the public areas, which include lawns with views of the Sea of Galilee, ornate shrubbery, stone terraces, and a fish pond, roof terrace and herb garden. The grounds lead directly to the beach, and the hotel also has a half Olympic sized outdoor pool with poolside bar. Expert Tip. Mount Tabor, 30 kilometres from the Scots Hotel, offers panoramic views of the area. Mentioned many times in the Old Testament, it is also believed to be the site of the Transfiguration of Jesus.

Driving Directions:
Getting there. The journey from the airport to the hotel can be made by taxi or shuttle bus. Larger groups can book a seven seat van at the hotels front desk.
Driving directions. From Tel Aviv Airport (TLV), take Route 6 and go right at the Iron Junction, then continue in the direction of Kfar Tavor and Golani Junction.
