Location. The Hippodrome Hotel is a historic property located in the La Condesa district of Mexico City, Mexico. This district is known for its famous Parque Mexico, and for an abundance of trend setting restaurants and bars.
Hotel Features. The Hippodrome Hotel was constructed in 1931, and faithfully renovated in 2006 to preserve its original Art Deco design. Corridors with high ceilings complement dark terrazzo marble floors. The interiors marry stone masonry and rich woodwork with modern architectural elements. Celebrity chef Richard Sandoval and Executive Chef Josefina Santa Cruz teamed to create The Hip Kitchen, acclaimed for its vibrant atmosphere and inventive Mexican fusion fare. Function rooms accommodate small gatherings, and a business center offers fax and photocopy services. The front desk is attended 24 hours a day, and a concierge offers sightseeing and dining suggestions. Pets are permitted at the hotel managements discretion.

Expert Tip. The La Condesa area was once immensely popular with artists and musicians.
