The charming Monsignor della Casa Country Resort consists of a hamlet of authentic stone villas on a 200 hectare estate, 27 kilometres from Florence and three kilometres from the shops and restaurants of Borgo San Lorenzo. The 26 apartments feature rustic decor with stone walls, ceiling beams, wrought iron canopied beds and Tuscan cotto floors. All offer furnished patios with countryside views, satellite television, direct dial phones with free local calls, minibars, safes, and wireless Internet access.
Hearty traditional Mugello dishes are served at the fireside in the seasonal wine bar restaurant, such as Panzanella, Tuscan Bread Soup and venison. Guests can tan under the Tuscan sun next to the two pools, enjoy a barbecue, play tennis, work out in the gym, and explore the surrounding countryside on the hotels mountain bikes. The hotel also offers a spa with a jetted tub, a steam bath and a sauna, and there is a terrace for relaxing out of doors. Practical amenities include airport transport (surcharge), business services, wireless Internet access throughout the hotel, and free parking. Nearby attractions include the Mugello Racing Circuit, five kilometres away, and a golf course, seven kilometres distance. Florence Vespucci Airport is 25 kilometres from the hotel, a 30 minute drive.

Driving Directions:
Guests are advised to rent a car from the airport. Alternatively, taxis to the city centre cost 13 16 EUR, or there is a half hourly bus to Santa Maria Novella Station. From there it is a 40 minute train ride to Borgo San Lorenzo station, three kilometres from the hotel, where trains run to and from Florence every hour. Once in Florence, buses service the city centre; tickets can be bought at tobacconists or vending machines. Tickets are sold on a time basis one hour, two hour or 24 hour tickets. Traffic is restricted in the city centre and parking is expensive, so the centre of Florence is best explored on foot. Taxis wait outside Santa Maria Novella Station.
Driving directions: From the airport take the A1 motorway, exiting at Barberino di Mugello. After the station keep left, following signs for Borgo San Lorenzo. Continue for about 17 kilometres until the outskirts of Borgo San Lorenzo. At the crossroads next to the Conad building, follow signs for Faenza. At the second traffic light turn left for Faenza. Continue about 2.5 kilometres and turn right into a small road for Mucciano and Corniolo. After one kilometre, the road stops in front of the gate of a villa. Keep left and Monsignor Della Casa Country Resort is about 200 metres on.
