Location. A 15th century building with stone cornices facing historic Tanucci Square, Albergo Falterona is located in the village of Stia in the Casentino Valley where castles, hermitages, and monasteries are surrounded by forests traversed by the Arno River. Florence Vespucci Airport is 49 kilometres from the hotel, around 60 minutes by car.
Hotel Features. Albergo Falterona is decorated throughout with sofas and Tuscan style wood furniture, beam and brick ceilings, and terracotta tiled floors. Traditionally, Stia was a town of blacksmiths and every other year, in September, there is a cast iron market.

Driving Directions:
Getting there. National and international trains run to Stia from Florence and Arezzo; the local railway, LF1, runs from Arezzo to Stia. The train station is 50 metres from the hotel.
Driving directions. Coming from the north, take the Firenze Sud exit off the A1 motorway toward Bagno a Ripoli. From there, proceed to the Passo della Consuma, SS 70 to Stia. From Arezzo, take the SS 71 to Stia; from Bologna, Forli or Cesena, take the Passo dei Mandrioli or the Passo della Calla.
