Opened in April 2006, the Marina Club li Dom Joao is a modern apartment complex overlooking the Lagos yachting marina, 500 metres from the beach. This four floor property features 35 contemporary studios and apartments defined by minimalist decor in white and grey, complemented by strong shades or orange, red and black. Materials used include marble, glass, stainless steel and wooden floors. All open onto balconies or terraces overlooking the pool and marina, and include kitchenettes with kettles, refrigerators, toasters and microwaves. Amenities include LCD televisions with satellite channels, Internet connections (surcharge), direct dial phones and safes. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations and complimentary toiletries.
Sun worshippers can relax by the large outdoor pool, which features fountains and a palm tree island at its centre. A separate childrens pool is also available. Serving buffet breakfasts, tapas and light meals, the bright, modern Regata Club Bar features a nautical theme and opens onto a terrace overlooking the pool. Guests can charter boats at the marina or enjoy a sightseeing cruise. There are plenty of opportunities for water sports at the beach, 500 metres away, and the nearest golf course is within three kilometres of the hotel. Faro Airport is 80 kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 60 minutes.

Driving Directions:
Taxis can be caught from outside the terminal building and cost approximately 85 EUR to the hotel. Alternatively, the hotel can arrange an airport transfer if flight details are provided in advance (surcharge). Buses are also available outside the terminal building. AEROBUS provides a shuttle service between the airport and city centre daily (except Tuesday) in high season. Lagos can be comfortably explored on foot. A car would be useful for trips further afield.
Driving directions: From the airport, exit Faro on the A22 motorway in the direction of Portimao/Sagres. Drive for approximately 80 kilometres and exit at Lagos Este Odiaxere. Follow the national road (N125) in the direction of Odiaxeree/Lagos for seven kilometres. Entering Lagos at the first traffic lights, turn back and follow directions to Marina/Meia Praia/Marina de Lagos/Marina Club.
