Set in more than 400 hectares of pinewood forest, the modern Ala Birdi Hotel comprises four hotels, and is located four kilometres from the village of Arborea. The 283 guestrooms, spread between three buildings, feature cream coloured walls, traditional Sardinian furniture and glass double doors leading onto balconies. The club card facility (30 EUR surcharge; kids under 5 go free) enables guests to partake in daytime and evening entertainment, canoes and pedal boats, group swimming, surf and sailing lessons and the miniclub. The hotel is also next to a spa facilty and is home to a horse riding school. The modern conference room is able to accommodate meetings or social events of up to 400 people. Those arriving by car will find complimentary parking facilities on site. Guests can visit the village of Arborea, four kilometres away, or the towns of Cagliari and Elmas, both of which are 85 kilometres away.
