The Scandic Hallandia is a riverside hotel built in 1850 and situated on the banks of the Nissan in the city centre, one kilometre from Halmstad Castle. This four floor hotel features 130 guestrooms with brightly coloured fabrics and furnishings. Rooms either have carpets or parquet flooring and all include satellite TV with pay movies, Internet points, clock radios and hair dryers. Bathrooms have tubs and some rooms have balconies.
Guests looking to unwind can avail themselves of the relaxation area situated at the very top of the hotel and take in the views across Halmstad. Guests can relax in the spa tub, sauna, massage shower and steam bath. The venue is open to both adults and children. Kids will also love Sigges Play Room, with cushions, a video corner, computer games and lots of toys. When children check in they will receive a surprise gift and kids menus are available in the restaurant. The hotel restaurant overlooks the River Nissan and Scandinavian dishes are served. Lunch buffets, banquets and simple snacks can all be catered for and a VIP room for 12 is available to hire. Business guests can enjoy access to 13 meeting rooms able to accommodate up to 130 delegates. Guests arriving by car will find a parking garage 50 metres from the hotel. Halmstad Airport is four kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 10 minutes.
Renovation notice:
The hotel is currently renovating the conference rooms and the restaurant. While this is going on they have moved the restaurant into the lobby. All work starts at 8 AM and is completed by 5 PM. Driving Directions:
Taxis are available from outside the arrivals hall and bus number 60 runs to the city centre. The hotel is five minutes from the train station. The hotel is situated in the city centre and is therefore best explored on foot.
