The Sun Club Djerba is a large, white, All Inclusive holiday resort situated on Sidi Mehrez beach, a ten minute drive from the capital of Djerba, Houmt Souk. This low rise property features 314 air conditioned guestrooms, simply decorated in Tunisian style with white walls, tiled floors, modern white furnishings and blue or green Moorish style mosaic tiles. Rooms open onto balconies or terraces and all include satellite TV, phones and private bathrooms with either tubs or showers. Connecting rooms, cribs, minibars and refrigerators available on request.
After breakfast, guests can head to the large free form swimming pool where the spacious sun terraces have plenty of loungers and umbrellas. Guests can also head down to the private beach where sun beds are available free of charge for guests. The main restaurant serves European and local buffet style dishes and there is also a barbeque for grilled meat and fish dishes, while the poolside and beach bars serve drinks, afternoon tea and snacks, including ice cream for the kids. Children will be kept entertained at the mini club whilst adults can take part in a daily programme of activities throughout the day including aerobics and other sporting activities. Those feeling energetic can work out in the fitness centre or take a dip in the indoor pool and then enjoy a relaxing massage treatment. Guests also enjoy access to tennis courts, petanque, volleyball pitch, basketball court, archery and a games room, and at the beach there are water sports including windsurfing and pedal boats. Bicycles and scooters can be hired from reception and horse riding can also be arranged. In the evening guests can sip cocktails and enjoy live entertainment before dancing the night away in the disco. Guests arriving by car will find secure onsite car parking and practical amenities include a 24 hour front desk, laundry facilities, medical assistance, safety deposit box and a hairdresser and beauty salon. Djerba Airport is 25 kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 30 minutes.
