The Blaumar is a modern hotel situated in a quiet spot 100 metres from SAbanell Beach, and one kilometre from Blanes town centre. This five floor hotel features 168 guestrooms. All have bright, fresh decor with tiled floors, and large patio doors opening onto balconies. Rooms are air conditioned and come equipped with satellite television and telephones. Minibars are available on request (surcharge).
After breakfast, guests can relax in the hotel lounge or take a dip in the outdoor pool which has a separate area for children. Sauna, spa and gym facilities are available at the Blaumars sister hotel, the Blaucel (surcharge). The hotel restaurant has a buffet service of international dishes, but alcoholic drinks and pork meat dishes are not served. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with themed dinners two nights a week. Guests can enjoy evening entertainment seven nights a week, and the hotel organises sports and shopping excursions, as well as trips to Andorra and Barcelona. There are plenty of local attractions on offer, including flamenco dance shows at Gran Palace five kilometres away, and a medieval castle ten kilometres away. For those wishing to travel further afield, Montserrat is 50 kilometres from the hotel. The nearest airport is in Barcelona, 65 kilometres away, and 50 minutes by car. Taxis are readily available at the airport terminal and fares to the hotel cost approximately 125 EUR. There is a train station at Barcelona Airport where trains regularly depart for Blanes station and cost around 2.50 EUR. From the station there are regular buses towards the hotel and cost around 1 EUR per person.
