Location. Set opposite a 50 metre high cliff dropping to the Bay of Naples, the modern Hotel Mediterraneo has typical Mediterranean styling and lies less than two kilometres from Sorrento centre. Naples (Capodichino) Airport (NAP) is 50 kilometres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. The Hotel Mediterraneo retains much of its century old atmosphere, evoked through its high ceilings and Murano glass chandeliers from the early 20th century. The garden courtyard is surrounded by orange and palm trees and contains a pool with jetted section and fountain, and a separate childrens area. An elevator descends from the hotel to a black sand beach.
The Mediterraneos top floor restaurant has wicker furniture and offers sweeping views of the Bay of Naples, Sorrentine Peninsula, Capri, and Mount Vesuvius. It serves local, Neapolitan, and international dishes and features a traditional Neapolitan dinner with live music on Monday nights.
