The Abbaye de Maizieres is situated in the oldest part of Beaune, near the main church, the Hospices de Beaune and only a few minutes from shops. This is an amazing 12th century building with stone walls and spiral staircases. The restaurant is an old Cistercian cellar (12th century) built against the castrum, which was constructed by the Romans (3rd century).
The hotel is wonderfully located for those wishing to explore Beaune without the need to have a car. Cellars, shops and museums are only a few hundred meters from the Abbaye de Maizieres. The rooms are charming with, for the most part, stone walls, period furnishings and French ceilings. The entire property retains a wonderful Old Burgundy atmosphere with the comfort and convenience that todays travelers have come to expect. Front desk open from 7AM till 10PM, guest have to check in before 10PM at night
