Getting there. The First Hotel Malpensa offers a complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport, on request at the front desk. For airport pick up, guests can call the hotel free from a public telephone in the baggage reclaim area by dialling 800 433 538. A phonecard is not necessary.

Getting around. The hotel is located near the village of Somma Lombardo. To reach downtown Milan, the Malpensa Express train takes about 40 minutes to Milan Cadorna station. The Air Pullman bus service from Malpensa station takes longer but goes to Stazione Centrale, Milans main train station. The city centre is easy to explore on foot, and there are pedestrianised areas around the Duomo. A comprehensive network of trams, buses and four metro lines offers efficient travel throughout the city. Integrated tickets for all modes of public transport can be purchased at newsagents, metro stations, tobacconists, and most coffee bars. Driving is not recommended in Milans city centre. There are many one way streets, traffic is heavy, and parking is limited. Cars parked illegally are towed or fined. The hotel has complimentary secure parking.
