Getting there. ATVO buses run every 30 minutes to Piazzale Roma in the centre of Venice. The journey time is 20 minutes and single tickets cost 3 EUR. The ACTV number 5 bus also goes to Piazzale Roma. Buses run from Piazzale Roma to Chioggia. A more scenic route to Chioggia is to travel by water bus number 1, vaporetto, which runs from central Venice to the Lido. From the Lido, the number 11 takes passengers to Pellestrina. From Pellestrina there is a ferry to Chioggia taking 25 minutes. Both routes take approximately 90 minutes.
Getting around. Sottomarina di Chioggia is best explored on foot. A tourist motorboat service, connecting Chioggia to Venice and neighbouring islands, is situated 400 metres from Hotel Bristol.
