Location. The Bitter End Yacht Club is positioned on a gently curved beach in North Sound, Virgin Gorda. This remote property is accessible only by boats that can enter the protected, deep water harbor. Spanish Town is a six mile trip by water taxi while Virgin Gorda Peak National Park is two miles away plus an approximate 20 minute hike.
Hotel Features. The Bitter End Yacht Club caters to those who thrive on water sports and sailing activities, therefore the hotel does not have televisions, air conditioning or automobile transportation. Use of the resorts fleet of 100 watercraft is complimentary. The propertys multicolored buildings, gingerbread trim and corrugated red steel roofs echo the bright hues of Caribbean seaside villages. This 75 acre property features an outdoor pool and separate beaches for windsurfing, swimming and snorkeling. Computers in the main building offer dial up Internet access. Clothing boutiques, a liquor store and craft stores provide on site shopping opportunities.

Designed for private, open air living, accommodations reveal ocean views, where wraparound wooden verandas are set beneath thatched awnings and contain two person hammocks, lounge chairs, and two chair dining sets. Spacious bath suites include dressing areas with walk in closets, vanity sinks, and separate stall showers.

Expert Tip. Those using complimentary Boston Whaler outboards are supplied with maps that display snorkeling, swimming, hiking and seashell gathering spots on nearby reefs and bays.

Driving Directions:
From Tortola International Airport:
The resort is accessible only by water. Complimentary water taxi service is is available to the Gun Creek landing. From there, taxis provide transportation to Virgin Gorda attractions.
Guests are greeted at the airport and directed to taxis that transport them to the North Sound Express ferry dock, which is located at Trellis Bay about one mile away. Ferry rates vary according to the time of arrival and are charged at the hotel.
