Situated between the Aravali and the Vindhya mountain ranges, visitors will discover Oberoi Vanyavilas, Ranthambore (India) set on 20 acres of landscaped gardens, lakes and fountains. An array of cardiovascular equipment and free weights can be found in the resorts fitness tent. Guests can also take a dip in a crocodile free outdoor heated pool. Oberoi Vanyavilas is a luxury jungle resort. Guests used to roughing it will find that no comfort is spared.The resorts main building recreates the glory of a royal hunting palace with hand painted, gilded frescoes,murals of elephants and peacocks.
Dining choices are varied. The hotels Dining Room and Inner Courtyard specializes in Asian and continental cuisine: Indian kebabs, curries, game food, rustic stews, pot roasts and homemade ice creams. Aristocracy from the British Raj would feel at home in the hotels bar where guests can enjoy cigars, champagne, sparkling wines and Scotch malts.
Air conditioned luxury tents are set among lemon and mango trees by a carp filled lake. Each of the 25 luxury tents are 790 square feet in size. All have private gardens and an outside sun deck. The tents feature four poster king beds, freestanding rolltop baths and separate showers. All the tents have wooden floors and embroidered interior canopies. Guests will find a DVD player and mini bar in each tent.
The resort is three hours and 30 minutes from Jaipur Airport and 10 minutes from Sawai Madhopur railway station.
