Location. The Marriott Jordan Valley Resort is located in Sweimeh, Jordan, 10 kilometres from the baptism site of Jesus and 55 kilometres from Jerusalem.
Hotel Features. Situated on the northeastern tip of the Dead Sea, the Marriott Jordan Valley Resort is surrounded by palm trees and landscaped gardens. The hotel has a private beach, indoor and outdoor pools, hair and beauty salon, and two cinemas. The health club and spa has a sauna and steam room, and offers a variety of services including Dead Sea salt and mud treatments, Thai massage, and hydrotherapy. A safe deposit box and currency exchange are available at the 24 hour front desk, where staff can also assist with travel and sightseeing arrangements. Complimentary parking is provided.
An American style buffet breakfast is offered each morning (surcharge). International lunch and dinner buffets are served at Mosaico Restaurant, while Il Terrazzo specialises in Italian cuisine. Jos Steakhouse serves Wagyu and Australian Angus beef and seafood amid sophisticated, French style decor. Drinks are served at several bars, including a poolside bar and spa bar. Expert Tip. Opened in December 2006, the Dead Sea Panorama Complex is located 20 kilometres from the Marriott Jordan Valley Resort. Here visitors can browse the museum covering the history, geology and ecology of the Dead Sea. Reservations are advised for the restaurant.
