The Athos Palace Hotel is an all inclusive resort complex set on the Kassandra peninsula overlooking the Aegean Sea, two kilometres from Kallithea with its lively shops, bars and restaurants. The 427 guestrooms have been renovated in 2003 with a contemporary decor in autumnal colours and dark wood furniture. Some have balconies with views of the surrounding pine woods or overlooking the swimming pool and the Aegean Sea. All include air conditioning, cable television, direct dial phones, DVD players, minibars, safes, bathrobes and hair dryers. The all inclusive room rate includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner served in the main restaurant. For those keen on sight seeing, the Afitos traditional Greek village is 6 kilometres (4 miles) away, the Nea Moudania market town is 25 kilometres (15 miles) away and Petralona (with its caves and museum) is 43 kilometres (26 miles) away.
