Driving directions: From the airport take the M6, exiting at junction 40 for Penrith. Go West along the A66 towards Keswick and Cockermouth. Disregard signs for Keswick and continue on the A66 to Cockermouth and Wokington. Approximately 150 yards after the third turning for Keswick, turn left for Portinscale and Grange. Take this turn off over a small stone bridge and past the Farmers Arms on the left. Carry on up the village until the road bears sharply right and then turn left for Harney Peak and the hotel.
