Getting there. RER line B trains run from the airport to central Paris. Line B3 (Roissyrail) departs from Terminal 2 and runs to Chatelet les Halles and Gare du Nord. Single tickets cost 7.85 EUR and journey time is about 25 minutes. Roissybus shuttles run from all three terminals to Place de lOpera. Buses depart every 15 minutes, and single tickets cost about 8 EUR. The nearest metro to the hotel is Bastille (lines 1, 5 and 8). A taxi from the airport will cost 40 50 EUR. Driving directions. From the airport take the A1 road following signs for Paris.
Leave at the exit for Peripherique Est, onto the eastbound Paris ring road.
Continue and enter Paris via the Porte de Vicennes.
From here, follow signs for Place de la Bastille.
Turn onto Rue de la Roquette, second street left of Bastille Opera.
Continue onto Rue des Taillandiers, where the Standard Design Hotel is located.
Getting around. Paris is easy to explore on foot, and there is a reliable, cheap metro (underground), which runs throughout the city and the suburbs. Buses are a great way to see the citys sights. Tickets can be purchased from bus drivers or from the machines in Metro stations. Regional RER trains run to destinations in the surrounding area. Taxis are available in the streets, but can be hard to find at busy times. Advance booking is recommended.
