Location. The two storey Protea Hotel King George, with its wide terraces and lush gardens, is located in George, Western Cape, South Africa, at the foot of the Outeniqua mountains and next to the George Golf Club. George city centre is two kilometres from the hotel and George Airport is five kilometres away.
Hotel Features. Complimentary newspapers and wireless Internet are available in the light filled lobby, and the hotel offers two swimming pools and a childrens playground. Children can also join the supervised kids club. Staff provide an express check in and check out service and can arrange childcare, and complimentary secure parking is provided.
Protea King Georges Fairway Terrace Restaurant overlooks the George Golf Course and the Outeniqua mountains. It is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and offers buffet and a la carte options. The rustic Rex Tavern, with its dark wood furniture and open fire, serves drinks and light meals, and has a patio overlooking the golf and mountains, while the Fairway Patio also has fine views, and offers an a la carte menu.
