Location. The riverfront Best Western Ashling Hotel is 300 metres from Phoenix Park and 500 metres from the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin, Ireland. The Luas red line tram stops outside the hotel. Dublin International Airport (DUB) is 14 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. Built in the 19th century and overlooking the River Liffey, the Best Western Ashling Hotel is a three storey building with a 1960s facade and a more modern five storey wing. During summer, the plant filled rooftop patio is open to guests.

Cobblestones is an intimate restaurant with neutral decor, framed photos and stained glass windows. It offers full Irish breakfasts, carvery lunches and an evening menu with Irish and international dishes. The informal bar is decorated with Greco Roman design printed fabrics and Art Deco style windows. It serves coffee and pastries, drinks and bar food all day.

The Best Western Ashling Hotel has several meeting rooms, wireless Internet access throughout and high speed Internet access in the lobby (surcharge). Complimentary onsite secure parking is available for up to 150 vehicles.

From Dublin International Airport (DUB):
Distance to the Best Western Ashling Hotel is 14 kilometres, approximately 40 minutes drive.

Getting there. Number 747 and 748 Airlink buses connect the airport to Dublin city centre, and depart every 15 minutes. Tickets can be bought from the driver and the single fare is about 5 EUR. A 24 hour service to central Dublin and Dublin South is offered by Aircoach. Local bus services regularly depart from the arrivals terminal, connecting to destinations throughout the city and its suburbs. Taxis cost about 18 EUR 20 EUR to the city centre. Prices are all subject to change.

Dublin city centre and Temple Bars cobbled streets can easily be explored on foot. Dublins extensive double decker bus system and tram network operate throughout the city and the suburbs. Taxis are available at ranks, and can also be hailed on the street. Parking in the city centre is limited and expensive, but a car is recommended for exploring further afield.

Driving directions. From Dublin International Airport exit in the direction of the M1 motorway.
Join the M1 motorway southbound in the direction of Dublin.
Once on the M1, take the next exit for the M50 motorway.
Join the M50 in the direction of the N2/N3/N4/N7 (southbound).
Continue on the M50 until the toll bridge.
Go through the toll bridge (1.80 EUR) and take the next exit off the M50, immediately after the toll bridge, and turn left at the M50/N4 junction, heading towards the city centre.
Continue along the N4 for approximately 6 kilometres until reaching Heuston Rail Station on the left.
Follow the road around the station, crossing over the River Liffey.
Once over the bridge, turn right and stay in the left hand lane, looking out for a left turn sign posted The Ashling Hotel.
Take this turn, continue for 20 metres and turn left at the traffic lights.
