Location. The British Colonial Hilton Nassau has functioned for generations as a social and business center in Nassau, Bahamas. The hotel is built on the former site of Fort Nassau, a stronghold that was erected to thwart pirate attacks and Spanish invasions. This Bahamian hotel is located five blocks from Parliament Square and across the street from the Straw Market.
Hotel Features. Bordered by tropical gardens, a heated, 55 foot wide outdoor pool and sundeck with cushioned lounge chairs provide year around swimming and sunning. A 75 yard long private beach offers inviting seaside attractions, and is bedecked with lounge chairs and protected by thatched sunshades. Televisions offer U.S. cable channels. High speed Internet access is available for a fee.
Expert Tip. A seaside dining village called Arawak Cay Fish Fry is located one mile west of the hotel and contains numerous restaurants and caf�s.
