Location. The Sofitel Cannes Le Mediterranee is a sea front hotel built in 1930, located opposite the Old Port and Midi Beach overlooking the Esterel Mountains. It is 500 metres from La Croisette, the Palais des Festivals. Nice International Airport is 20 kilometres from the hotel, an approximate driving time of 30 minutes.

Driving Directions:
Getting there. SNCF national train services run to/from the airport every 30 minutes from Cannes Gare St Laurent du Var. Taxis are readily available and charge around 80 EUR to the hotel; taxi stands are located outside both terminals. Motorway tolls may be added to the fare. A shuttle bus operates from the airport and leaves at 40 minutes past the hour every hour. Cannes train station is one kilometre from the hotel. Cannes is best explored on foot. Train services connect to other cities in France. A hire car or trains are useful for trips out of town, and car rentals are available online.

Driving directions. From the airport take the A8 Motorway and exit at Cannes Mouglins.
