Getting there. Stansted does not have any taxi ranks, but there is a taxi desk. Taxis to the hotel cost 20 25 GBP. From Central London, take the Central Line to Epping, and then a taxi from there to the hotel. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. A car is recommended for exploring the area around the hotel. Epping tube station is a mile from the hotel and connects with the rest of the London underground, London and the surrounding areas. Single tickets are expensive, but an electronic Oyster card offers a cheaper fare. Oyster cards can be purchased from ticket offices for 3 GBP (refundable). Daily or weekly travel passes are the most economical way to travel, and are valid on buses, trams, trains, and DLR, as well as on the Underground. Black taxis are available on the streets, but can be expensive. Driving is not recommended for visitors and a congestion charge zone is operated in central London.
