From London Heathrow Airport (LHR):
Distance to the Crown Hotel is 21 miles, approximately 45 minutes drive.
Getting there. The airport is on the Piccadilly line of the London Underground, which runs directly to Kings Cross station. From there take the Metropolitan line which runs all the way to Amersham. The journey to central London takes approximately one hour, and trains depart the airport every 10 minutes. A one day travel pass costs 6.30 GBP, including travel to Heathrow (in zone 6). Taxi fares from Heathrow to Amersham are approximately 50 GBP. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Amersham is compact enough to explore on foot, but a car is useful for excursions further afield.
Driving directions.From Heathrow take the M4 in the direction of Gatwick and follow signs for the M25 Exit 4b.
Take Exit 16 to the M40.
