Le Meridien Penina Golf and Resort is a modern resort hotel four kilometres from Portimao beach. It features 196 air conditioned guestrooms over four floors, all decorated in warm Mediterranean colours and opening onto balconies. They include minibars, safes, satellite television with pay movie channels, Internet connections and direct dial telephones. Bathrooms have telephones, bathrobes and hair dryers.
The hotel is home to the 18 hole Sir Henry Cotton Championship Golf club. There is also an Academy Course for instruction, a nine hole Resort Course and a driving range and putting green. Water sports are available in the summer months with windsurfing, sailing, pedaloes and water skiing. Newspapers and souvenirs can be picked up at the gift shop and business and conference facilities are available. Visitors can rent a bicycle at the hotel and take a leisurely look around the area. Alvor village and Portimao Town are both five kilometres away. Faro International Airport is approximately 65 kilometres and a 45 minute drive from the hotel.

Driving Directions:
The best way to reach the hotel is by car. Taxis are available from the arrivals terminal and the fare will cost approximately 65 EUR. From Faro International Airport follow signs to the A22 and join the motorway. Take the Alvor exit and at the roundabout take the Figueira exit. The entrance to the hotel is approximately 500 metres ahead on the left.
