Location. The Sonesta Pharaoh Beach resort is located in Hurghada, Egypt, on the sandy shores of the Red Sea. The hotel is 16 kilometres from Hurghada city centre, and ferries in the area connect with Sharm el Sheikh. The Valley of the Kings at Luxor is 270 kilometres from the hotel, while Cairo and the famous pyramids at Giza are about 500 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. Sonesta Pharaoh Beach Resort is a modern property, designed to combine contemporary architecture with hints of ancient Egyptian Pharaonic design; the lobby is a distinctive pyramid structure. The main building is set amongst gardens with bungalow apartments, and is adjacent to the hotels private beach. Within the grounds are an outdoor swimming pool and separate childrens pool, and there is another pool indoors. Sports facilities are available, with a full service health club, and childrens activities.
Guests at Sonesta Pharaoh Beach Resort have several restaurants and bars to choose from. The Karnak Dining Room is the hotels main eatery, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets featuring international and Egyptian dishes. The other restaurant has oriental and Mediterranean themes, and there is a lobby bar and terrace, a poolside bar, discotheque. During high season live shows are performed at the amphitheatre overlooking the pool and gardens. Half board rates are available.
