Distance to the Hotel Silencium is 8 kilometres, approximately 10 minutes drive.

Getting there. Regional S Bahn and high speed trains run from the airport railway station to Cologne Hauptbahnhof (central station) twice an hour. A single ticket costs 2.10 EUR and the journey takes 18 minutes. Alternatively, hire cars or taxis are available at the airport. A typical taxi fare is approximately 22 EUR. Prices are subject to change.

Getting around. The centre of Cologne can be easily explored on foot. Schildergasse, Hohe Strasse and Breite Strasse are pedestrianised and most main attractions are located around the Altstadt, on the left bank of the Rhine. A transferable ticket (VRS) entitles travellers to use all transport facilities, including the underground, buses, trams, and RB (RegionalBahn), RE (RegionalExpress) and S (S Bahn) trains. Train only tickets can also be purchased. Both types of tickets can be purchased from vending machines at the citys train stations. Only VRS tickets can be bought from tram, bus and underground stops.

Driving directions. From the airport, take the Bensberg/Rosrath exit and continue to the right, in the direction of Bergisch Gladbach.
After three kilometres, turn left towards Koln Bruck.
At the traffic lights in Bruck, turn right onto the B55 (Olpener Strasse) in the direction of Bergisch Gladbach Refrath.
The hotel is 400 metres up on the left.
