Getting there. The number 1 bus runs every 30 minutes between the airport and the citys central train station. Every 30 minutes a bus leaves from Vilnius bus station for Kaunas. Getting around. The centre of Kaunas can easily be explored by foot as most of the historic sites are located in the old town centre. Buses are the best option when using public transport. Shared taxis and minibuses are also popular modes of transport, and are available on the streets.
