Getting there. High speed trains and the regional S Bahn run between the airport railway station and Cologne Hauptbahnhof every 30 minutes. The fare for a single ticket is 2.10 EUR, and the journey time is 18 minutes. The number 170 bus runs to the Hauptbahnhof and Cologne city centre five times an hour. The fare is 5 EUR for a single ticket. Taxis wait outside Terminals 1 and 2, and cost about 25 EUR to central Cologne and 40 EUR to Bonn. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The Hotel Im Wasserturm is on Kaygasse in Cologne. The centre of Cologne can be easily explored by foot. A transferable ticket (VRS) entitles travellers to use all transport facilities, including the underground, buses, trams, and RB (RegionalBahn), RE (RegionalExpress) and S (S Bahn) trains. Train only tickets can also be purchased. Both types of tickets can be purchased from vending machines at the citys train stations. Only VRS tickets can be bought from tram, bus and underground stops.

Getting there. The Dusseldorf Airport rail station is located on a major axis of Europes railway network, with approximately 300 trains stopping there every day. A free monorail runs between the terminal building and the railway station. The bus station and taxi rank are outside the Arrivals building.
Driving directions. From Dusseldorf, take the A3 motorway towards Koln (Cologne) until you reach the Heumar junction.
Follow the A4 towards Aachen and take the exit for Koln Deutz/Koln Messe.
At the Severinsbrucke exit, cross the bridge and head towards Barbarossaplatz.
Take the first right before the bridge, then turn right again to reach the Hotel Im Wasserturm.
