Hotel Features. The hotel lobby is dominated by a grand marble staircase, and is decorated in bold terracotta tones. Open during the summer months, the hotels rooftop terrace features a heated pool and poolside bar, and offers 360 degree views of the city. The Michelin starred Marks Restaurant overlooks the hotel lobby and is characterised by cherry wood furniture with blue and ivory toned upholstery. The Mandarin Oriental Bar has lavender and terracotta furnishings and offers light snacks, cocktails, and live piano music until late. The 360 degree views attract guests to the poolside rooftop bar, which is open from May to October.

Distance to the Mandarin Oriental Munich is 30 kilometres, approximately 35 minutes drive.
Getting there. The airports train station is located between the two terminals on the basement level. The S8 and S1 S Bahn trains leave every 20 minutes for Munichs main train station (Hauptbahnhof). Journey time is about 45 minutes, and single tickets cost 8.80 EUR. Tickets must be validated prior to travelling. The Lufthansa Airport bus runs to the Hauptbahnhof every 20 minutes, and the single fare is 9.50 EUR. Taxis to the city centre cost around 55 EUR 65 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Much of Munichs city centre is pedestrianised and best explored on foot. The citys integrated public transport system includes buses, trams, S Bahn commuter trains, and U Bahn underground trains. Tickets cover all modes of public transport. Taxis wait at ranks around the city, but can be expensive. Trains run from the Hauptbahnhof to other German towns and the Bavarian countryside.
Driving directions. From Munich Franz Josef Strauss Airport, follow the A9 Richtung in the direction of Munich.
At the end of the road, turn right onto Schenkendorfstrasse.
Take a right onto Leopoldstrasse Ludwicgstrasse.
Turn left onto Von der Tann Strasse and carry straight on until you reach Thomas Wimmer Ring.
Turn right onto Hildegardstrasse.
Turn left onto Neuturmstrasse.
